The Vietnam Era M-41 Walker Bulldog Tank, that has been located at Johnny Appleseed Park since 1967, was moved to Riverview Cemetery.

The 31 ton tank that once traveled through Vietnam, traveled through the city of Fort Wayne.

Starting from it's original home since 1967 in Johnny Appleseed Park to it's new resting place at Riverview Cemetery, which is owned and operated by D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home.

The tank was escorted by the Fort Wayne Freedom Riders, a group of bikers who all have one thing in common...they've served their country.

"This tank has been part of Fort Wayne for awhile.  It's a real honor to take it to a cemetery where it's honoring our veterans."

David McComb, with D.O. McComb & Sons, which operates the cemetery, says he feels it's important to honor those who have served our country.

"It's going to the right place to honor our servicemen."

"We're gonna move it, and on November 11th, Veteran's Day, there's gonna be a ceremony out of Riverview Cemetery to rededicate this tank."

This piece of history has finally made it's way to it's resting place, honoring those who have bravely served our country.
