Victim says arson is to blame for three seperate fires

Firefighters from several departments were busy fighting three separate fires, early Sunday morning. It all happened in the eastern part of Allen County.
 

Firefighters from several departments were busy fighting three separate fires, early Sunday morning.  It all happened in the eastern part of Allen County.

The fires sparked just before 5 a.m Sunday.

A  pole barn caught fire on the900-block of Portala Avenue where a steel pole barn is now a total loss.  The owner, Warren Collins says nobody was injured but estimates $10,000 in damages. 

The other two fires happened on Waverly Drive.  The blaze on the 700-block of Waverly burned an attached garage and part of the owners home.

A van caught fire on the other Waverly Drive blaze. 

Collins says the three fires were no accident ,and  he believes it was arson.   

“I have no doubt that somebody did this.  I hope the police get him and hold him responsible,” said Collins. 

The Allen County Fire Arson Specialist Team is investigating the fire, along with the Allen County Sheriffs Department.

The Woodburn, St. Joe and Fort Wayne Fire Department's assisted the  New Haven Fire Department with the blaze.
