US Congressman Marlin Stutzman introduced an amendment that could save the City of Fort Wayne $25 million dollars.
US Congressman Marlin Stutzman introduced an amendment that could save the City of Fort Wayne $25 million dollars.

Stutzman says the Water Resources Reform and Development Act would prevent the Army Corps of Engineers from performing what he calls unnecessary maintenance on the city's levees.

In 2010, the City of Fort Wayne was advised that the city levees would need to be de-vegetated but Stutzman contends that our levees were designed to handle vegetation.

Stutzman spoke on the House floor in support of his amendment.

The Water Resources Reform and Development Act passed earlier by an overwhelming majority.
