UPDATE: Homicide victim by South Side High School identified

Man shot and killed near South Side High School in Fort Wayne has been identified by the coroner.

11/6/13 THE SHOOTING HAPPENED TODAY AROUND THREE THIRTY IN THE AFTERNOON AT THE BARBERSHOP PRIME CUTS WHICH IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM SOUTH SIDE HIGH SCHOOL ON SOUTH CALHOUN STREET. THE VICTIM WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. MICHAEL JOYNER WITH THE FORT WAYNE POLICE DEPARTMENT SAYS BECAUSE THE SHOOTING HAPPENED WITHIN AN HOUR OF SCHOOL BEING LET OUT, SOUTHSIDE HIGH WENT ON LOCKDOWN.

THIS DEATH MARKS THE 41ST HOMICIDE FOR FORT WAYNE AND ALLEN COUNTY AND THE SECOND THIS WEEK.

RIGHT NOW AUTHORITIES SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY SUSPECT INFORMATION. THEY URGE ANYONE WHO MAY KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SCENE TO CALL CRIME STOPPERS AT

THE MAN WHO WAS SHOT AND KILLED YESTERDAY ACROSS FROM SOUTHSIDE HIGH SCHOOL AT PREMIUM CUTS BARBER SHOP HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS 40 YEAR OLD BRANDON DOCK OF FORT WAYNE. IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CRIME, CALL CRIMESTOPPERS.
