Trouble on the football field.  Last Friday night an area high school team involved in a fight that may have serious consequences for both schools involved in the brawl.

WFFT Local Sports Director Randy Ziemnik learned what's next as far as discipline is concerned.  It made National headlines and now the aftermath from Friday's brawl between South Side and Indianapolis Arsenal Tech is starting to come down.

Now the fight happened in the 3rd quarter of Friday night's game when a South Side player appeared to make a late hit out of bounds against an Arsenal player.

Coaches, players, and even fans jumped out of the stands all involved.   The game then called, just too many ejections to continue.

Now one assistant from Arsenal already suspended for the season, that Coach says he wants to press charges against the South Side coach he got in a fight with, after suffering some injuries.

WFFT reached out to South Side Head Coach Eddie Fields and that call has not been returned.

Fort Wayne City Schools came out with a brief statement denouncing the fight and IHSAA Commissioner Bobby Cox said by phone he'll be speaking with representatives from both schools involving the incident.

Discipline for Friday night's fight expected to be announced Wednesday and when it comes down, we will be sure to fill you in on all the details.
