How secure is your identity?  A Howard county woman found out the hard way, as a 16 year-old-teenager was able to access the woman's bank account with minimal effort.

Sergeant Tony Slocum with the Indiana State police says a 16 year in Miami County is facing identity deception and fraud charges after allegedly  stealing more than $1,000  from a 54-year-old woman.

The teenager first found the woman's email address from her unsecured Facebook page, and then he hacked into her personal email account.  He used information found from the email to then hit her itunes account.  The Woman’s itunes account had her credit card information stored

The 16-year-old allegedly made over $1,000 in purchases from the Apple itunes store.

Sgt Slocum says there are no accounts that are  completely secure.  He says never store credit card information on websites and avoid sharing personal information on social media.
