The city spent the following on the first major storm of the season.
 The city of Fort Wayne budgets between $500,000-$600,000 for annual snow removal. The city spent the following on the first major storm of the season.   

January 5th storm: 

Salt=$180,000

Overtime=$100,000

Private contractors=$150,000

The Indiana Department of Transportation removes snow for 17 counties in Northeast Indiana.  

January 5-10 snow removal costs.   

Total=$1.4 million

Man hours = $220,000

Equipment= $490,000

Materials= $680,000.
