A star from the hit TV show ‘Sons of Anarchy’ will not be at the Coliseum for Cyclefest this weekend as advertised.

The promoter of the event says it was a last minute cancelation, but the actors management firm says he was never even scheduled to appear. Fans who spent money to meet the star feel they've been scammed.

Chad Mullins is the promoter for Cyclefest and was under the impression that Hunnam cancelled at the last minute do to a conflict.  However, I investigated further and contacted the actor’s management firm who issued this statement that reads in part,

"Neither Charlie Hunnam or any of his representatives were ever approached about making an appearance at the upcoming Cyclefest events in Ft. Wayne, Indiana or Dayton, Ohio. The promoter misled the public by representing otherwise..."

Social media lit up this afternoon with people saying they've been scammed, but Mullins disagrees.

“If I was really trying to scam people, who would I be hearing from?  Would I be hearing from a Facebook account or would I be hearing from his lawyers?

Along with appearing at Cyclefest, fans shelled out hundreds for a meet and greet dinner with the star.  It was supposed to be held at the YOLO Event Event. It will now cost thousands for the venues owner Todd Smith.

“They will be getting their refunds back that's the only thing I can control in this whole thing is getting their money back,” said Mullins.

Mullins says he used an Atlanta based company, TK Agency to book Hunnam for the event--the same agency he's used in the past to bring the son's of anarchy stars to Cyclefest.
