Motorcycle Crash on Rumsey Avenue

Two people on a motorcycle were struck by a car this afternoon on the Northwest side of town with serious injuries.
Witnesses say a man and a woman were traveling east on Spring Street when a white sedan struck them from the side.

The car neglected to a stop at stop sign on Rumsey Avenue.

One neighbor in the area came outside as soon as he hear the crash.

Stephen Leon said, "Oh there's a wreck, there's, a wreck, a motorcycle wreck, and I course jump out here, run out here, and of course there's a motorcycle collided, t-boned with a Ford Taurus, just blew the stop sign, didn't even stop, and it was just and accident waiting to happen ."

Witnesses say the man on the motorcycle was unconscious when paramedics arrived.

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Neighbors in the area say this isn't the first time some one has sped through a stop sign and hit another car at the intersection.

Witnesses say the man was not wearing a helmet, but the woman was.

The male rider on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries.

Both the man and the woman are now in serious condition.
