Memorial Coliseum Hosts Color Me Rad 5-K

If you're planning on traveling near the Memorial Coliseum tomorrow morning, you may want to plan an alternate route. More than 8,000 runners are expected to arrive at the Coliseum tomorrow for the Color Me Rad 5-K race.
"But just know that between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. it's going to be a little slower going around the Coliseum, so allow a little extra time."
If you're planning on traveling near the Memorial Coliseum tomorrow morning, you may want to plan an alternate route. More than 8,000 runners are expected to arrive at the Coliseum tomorrow for the Color Me Rad 5-K race.

The first wave of runners will take off around 8 a.m. Organizers for the 5-K encourage runners to carpool to the Coliseum to keep parking spots open.

Randy Brown with the Memorial Coliseum told WFFT, "If you're coming out for the race please if you can carpool, we'd like to see an average of two to three people per car. If we have that we're going to be in great shape. But just know that between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. it's going to be a little slower going around the Coliseum, so allow a little extra time."

A number of roads will be closed tomorrow morning for the 5-K. Spy Run Ave. between Clinton St. and Parnell Ave. will be closed from 6 a.m. until the end of the run. Parnell Ave. between Saint Joe River Dr. and Ridgewood Dr. will be closed starting around 7:30 a.m. until the end of the run. Parking is $4.00 per vehicle at the Memorial Coliseum
