A group of community members are digging their way into people's hearts by digging out their driveways and sidewalks... The oasis radio group that owns three stations here in
"I tried it the last time we had snow and it hurt my back so bad. I have a new baby in the house and kids, it's just so hard to do on my own," said Kat Whitesel who is just one of many who are getting some much needed help.
"My husbands been trying and trying to get the snow removed. With his schedule it's kind of hard," said Whitesel.
"We want to help people get out of their driveways so they can go to the store or go wherever they need to go," said Travis Walker, deejay on 99.3.
These locals from Oasis Radio Group used their resources on-air to reach out to those in need.
"People hug us and say thank you, I can't get out there, I’m too old or I have arthritis in my knees or I just don't have the equipment," said Brooke Taylor from 93.3.
Snow buried cars, extra long driveways, and covered sidewalks were all cleared with the extra man power.
"It feels so awesome, now my husband doesn’t have to shovel when he gets home from work tonight. He's always exhausted after work," said Whitesel.
"It’s been such an honor for them to shovel our yards because our dad works 12 hours and we lost our vehicle because we got in an accident," said 12-year-old Madison Whitesel.
