Over the past thirteen years, the music recording studio Digitracks has helped local musicians realize their dreams in recording their own albums.

They're taking local talent- and spreading their work throughout the nation.

WFFT’s Andrew Logsdon popped in this week while Dan Middleton and his crew were putting the final touches on an album from a local country band.

It's his blend of experience and high-end technology that's allowing regional artists to make a splash on the national music scene.

"We've had a whole lot of experiences here with a lot of people. We are up north, so there's not a lot of celebrities that come through. Some really incredible players here. There's a lot of music in Fort Wayne,” Middleton says.

A lot of music- and recording studio Digitracks is here to capture it.

And using some of the best technology in the music industry make great-sounding local music sound even better.

"Everything in the high-end, hand wired, tubes, you name it. We have high-end name brands that you would see in Nashville or Los Angeles or New York. A little scaled down, but we get the sound that you get in any major studio,” Middleton says.

Middleton started Digitracks in 2000.

And in those thirteen years, they've helped many record entire albums.

And Middleton says you can too.

"We can set you up, get you going pretty fast. We have six engineers on staff and all of us are versed in specific things. I'm a little more of the rock and roller, we've got some folk guys here, we have some country guys, we have some hip hop engineers,” Middleton says.
