Local and State Leaders gathered to discuss Vision 20-20 and 20-25.  The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership developed Vision 20-20 to create goals that will transform the region into a top global competitor by the year 2020.

State Leaders were also present at the meeting to discuss Vision 20-25, a state-wide initiative to create Hoosier prosperity over the next decade.

More than 100 business and community leaders, plus local and state representatives gathered at Sweetwater Sound.  Their goal was to discuss a long term plan to develop the region and the Hoosier state.

With per capita income on the decline in 2010, members of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership decided to take action, establishing a regional initiative called Vision 20-20.

The five pillars of Vision 20-20 include:
1.) 21st Century talent
2.) Competitive business climate
3.) Entrepreneurship
4.) Infrastructure
5.) Quality of Life

Many of these long-term regional goals require collaboration with state leadership.

Over the past 2 weeks, members of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce have met with five other regions in Indiana to discuss a long range economic development plan.

First released in early 2012, the state-wide vision 20-25 identifies 33 goals for advancing Indiana.  Several of these goals have already been achieved.
