Local abortion doctor, Ulrich Klopfer is under-fire for allegedly failing to report the abortion on a 13-year-old-girl in a timely manner.

Local abortion doctor, Ulrich Klopfer is under-fire for allegedly failing to report the abortion on a 13-year-old-girl in a timely manner.  Indiana state law deems sex with anyone under 14 as statutory rape.

Klopfer will appear in front of the medical licensing board Wednesday.  Sanctions could potentially be handed down.

Dr. Klopfer performs abortions in Fort Wayne, South Bend and Gary, but a recent public statement made by Klopfer confirming that he failed to file the paper-work of that abortion done on a 13-year-old has landed him a date with the medical licensing board.

State law requires Doctors report abortions performed on anyone under the age of 14 within three days of the procedure.

In Dr. Klofper's case it took him several months to file the appropriate paperwork.

The pro-life organization Indiana Right to Life  has worked hard to bring attention to Dr. Klopfer, by filing thousands of consumer complaints with the Indiana Attorney General.

Klopfer stopped doing abortions in Fort Wayne because the physician who was serving as the local back-up as required by law quit.
