An Indiana Veteran says he was just trying to be friendly and instead, he gets robbed by 2 men.

To make matters worse, he was duct taped to a chair while the whole robbery was taking place.

79 year old Billy Blankenship didn't want to show his face on TV but he agreed to talk about the last time he sat in this chair.

"I couldn't even move."

When 2 robbers left him duct taped to the chair for 4 hours.

"I can't say anything good about them."

He had just finished the yard when 2 guys approached him, asking for work.  He said he didn't have any work, but he could offer them a cold drink.  Once they got inside, that's when they struck.

"He got me in a hammer lock, not a hammer lock, but some kind of wrestling hold around the neck."

Then they sat Billy in the chair.

"They wrapped me up in this duct tape.  To where, I mean he had it all the way up to here."

With Billy taped to the chair, the men rifled through the house.  They took cash, jewelry, Billy's Smith and Wesson, and his Buick, parked outside.  Billy was still taped up.

"But it stuck pretty good."

It took him 4 hours to finally get one hand free, to the scissors on the table.

"I got them maneuvered around to where I could cut the tape off.  I cut a piece at a time."

Then he called his neighbor, who called police and his niece Judy.

"Hopefully with all that duct tape, there's going to be some fingerprints."

Billy says he'll give anyone a first chance but to the 2 guys who robbed him and left him stranded?

"I think I'd say...if you ever come back again, I'll kill ya."
