Today a passenger train took residents on a trip back in history. Operating from Fort Wayne to West Lafayette, passengers got the chance to ride on vintage cars from the 1940's and 50's. There was a tremendous response to the new ride, with train tickets selling out in less than two hours.
This living piece of history is one of the last operating mainline steam locomotives in the United States. It is owned and operated by the not for profit Fort Wayne Railroad Historical society.
