Fort Wayne's International Left-Handers Day was celebrated.

The group organizing the event say it's the day lefty's can celebrate their right to be left-handed.

The group held a trivia contest, music, and gave out left hand cookies all day.

One young lefty even learned how to croquet with her left hand.

"It's nice because it is nice to not be really different.  Like there's only 100 or so people in the world that are left handed."

Studies show that left-handed people are more dexterous with their left hands when performing tasks.

OInly 10% of the world's population is left handed.
