Facebook ‘trash talking’ leads to a shooting on Fort Wayne’s Northeast side early Thursday morning.

“You have to scratch your head, comments made on Facebook lead to a shooting,” said Michael Joyner, Fort Wayne Police Department.

It started as a fun night at the Rusty Spur, a local bar, but ended in a shooting at the corner of Kentucky and Clara.

Michael Joyner with the Fort Wayne Police department says Ian Leftakes and Curtis Henderson were out at the Rusty Spur with a group of friends. Henderson and another buddy decided to  hang out with some girls and drop Leftakes off at his house.  Leftakes apparently wasn’t happy that he wasn’t included, and took his frustration out on Facebook.

The comments Leftakes made on facebook didn't sit well with Henderson, so he went to Leftakes house to confront him.

“There was a verbal confrontation which led to shots being fired.,” said Joyner

Police say Leftakes fired a warning shot in the air because Henderson was calling him names.   He then fired again, this time hitting Henderson.

Police say after Henderson was shot he drove himself to the St. Joseph hospital in downtown Fort Wayne.
