FORT WAYNE, In. -- Ten year old Paris spent time with WFFT Local's Kristen Kirchhaine for this week's Start Something Big. They tapped into their artistic side at Painting With a Twist and talked about why Paris would like a Big Sister.

Painting was a good choice for Paris, as one of her favorite classes in school is art. She also likes music and math, and will start fifth grade next year.  But now it's summer, and Paris said she doesn't get many opportunities to get out.

"I'm just ten years old, I need to experience the whole life, not just inside the house."

Paris lives with her grandma, and that is who she spends most of her time with. She'd love to have a Big Sister to take her out to do something fun or try something new.

"Skating and the movies. I've never played lazer tag so that's what I really want to play."

Paris also enjoys more 'girly' things like doing her hair and nails and going shopping.

"I love getting dresses and high heels."

Animals are another passion of Paris'. She has two dogs and one unique pet... a ladybug.

"I named her Spotsy. She likes to crawl in [her cage] and then I put her in the play house and she'll play in there for like five minutes."
