Start Something Big - Antony

Meet Antony, a thirteen year old who is on the waiting list for a Big Brother.
"To help me get my grades better." -Antony, on what a Big Brother could help him with
Thirteen year old Antony and WFFT"s Kristen Kirchhaine tried their hands at painting over at Painting With A Twist in this week's Start Something Big.

"My brother that I have at home, we really don't do nothing because he likes to be in his room and make music, and then my little brother, well, he's only one."

A Big Brother could provide Antony with opportunities he cannot get from his own brothers.  He'd like the chance to get out of the house and do something fun.

"Go play sports or go to the Y and play basketball, or like go workout at the Y."

Staying active and in shape is important to Antony as he hopes to one day join the military.

"I want to go into the Navy or the Air Force."

Another area that a Big could help Antony with is school.

"To help me get my grades better."

When Antony is at home, he spends most of his time playing video games or he goes to the YMCA.

"Either I play basketball or workout."

He hopes a future Big Brother is athletic and active, and can lend a helping hand when needed. To find out more about becoming a Big to Antony, call Big Brothers Big Sisters at 456-1600.
