Start Something Big - Three Boys Still Waiting

FORT WAYNE, In. -- Each Thursday night, WFFT features a child on the Big Brothers Big Sisters waiting list. But there are still a few boys who are waiting to be matched.

OMAR -

"Because my brothers don't spend time with me."

Omar has older siblings, but said he still spends most of his time at home alone.  He'd love to have a Big Brother who shares his interest in music, playing the drums, art, and sports, and he could use help with schoolwork on occasion.

"Help with my homework, I don't like subtraction so he could help me."

STANDLEY -

Standley is the only guy in his house and would love to have a Big Brother to spend time with.

"Just have some fun, go to a basketball game, watch a movie, make pizza or cookies."

Standley also likes action movies, tennis, go-kart racing, and board games.  He's been waiting over four years for a Big and still hopes the right match is out there.

"Have like a role model to look over me."

AYELION -

Ayelion wants to have a Big that would take him new places to try new things.

"They take you out to fun places and stuff and have fun with you."

Ayelion enjoys going to the movies, the mall, bowling, swimming, watching tv, and playing sports.

To find out more about how to become a Big Brother to Omar, Standley, or Ayelion, call Big Brothers Big Sisters at 456-1600.
