Slippery Roadway & Speed Almost Cost a Man His Life

A slippery roadway and speed almost cost a man his life here in Fort Wayne.
A slippery roadway and speed almost cost a man his life here in Fort Wayne.

Police say the man was speeding down Washington Boulevard near Thieme Drive when he lost control.  The car jumped the guard rail and knocked down a light pole.

It could have went into the Saint Joe River had it not been for the bunch of trees.

The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

As you can see, the car was left suspended by the trees.  It took wrecker crews quite awhile to retrieve the vehicle safely.
