WFFT Local Sports Director<br />
Randy Ziemnik joined WFFT as a Sports Director in August 2011.

Prior to coming to Fort Wayne Randy served as Weekend Sports Anchor/Sports Reporter at WTVO/WQRF in Rockford, Illinois. While in Rockford Randy covered everything from the NFC Championship, MAC Football Championship Game, Chicago Blackhawk's Prospect Camp, to every local sporting event imaginable.

Randy is a Parma, Ohio native - right outisde of Cleveland - and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism with  a minor in Political Science.

While in college Randy served as an intern with WEWS News Channel 5 in Cleveland and worked for Kent State's television and radio stations as well as the student newspaper. Randy served as sports and news director for TV2 and was also The Kent State Sports Network's main play-by-play announcer for Kent State Men's and Women's Basketball games. He has also broadcasted Golden Flashes Football, Volleyball and Hockey games. Randy began his broadcasting career at the age of 17 hosting a Saturday morning high school football show on SportsTalkCleveland.com

Randy is a huge Ohio State, Kent State, Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers fan, but was schooled in everything Fort Wayne by his high school journalism teacher, and former Fort Wayne sports anchor, Dave Droes.

In his free time, he loves to snowboard, exercise, read and listen to some of his favorite classic rock songs.
