We've covered a lot of local businesses here on our weekly Locally Made Monday report- businesses that are specializing in products made right here.

Tonight, WFFT headed out to Paulding, where Insource Technologies is doing things a little differently.

They manufacture custom products locally for companies across the country.
It's this week's Locally Made Monday.

"We don't always build- we would build things that we don't design, but we don't design things that we don't build,” says Insource Technologies Sales Manager Larry Manz.

Whatever they make, Insource Technologies makes it all inside its factory in Paulding, Ohio.

It offers engineering and manufacturing services for companies across the U.S., making integral parts for many common products

"Outsourcing is when you take a product line or assembly and send it outside of a region or even the country. Unfortunately, a lot of times, the product support and expertise goes with it. Insourcing is when you bring it back into a region, and that's where we're viable. We offer high-quality, on time, high level of support at a fair price,” Larry Manz says.

Some of their specialty areas are electronic control modules and circuit boards, along with wire harnesses and refrigeration systems.

And in the past year, it has seen substantial growth.

What started with eight employees in 1997- has blossomed to 180, with a hundred added in just the past year.

"Yea, and obviously just in the last couple of years, the growth has been a lot more accelerated. I mean, three years ago, we hit fifty employees for the first time. Now we're at one hundred and eighty,” says Director of Employee Development Marvin Manz.

Brothers Larry and Marvin say it's important to keep local talent in the region.

"More than half of the employable adults in Paulding County work outside the county, and mostly due to a lack of skilled jobs in the area. We've lost a lot of local talent because of that, and we'd like to reverse that trend,” Marvin Manz says.
