The Leukemia Lymphoma Society is holding several fundraisers to raise money for research and education.

The Society held a silent auction at Peter Franklin Jewelers, where several local businesses and organizations donated items for the community to bid on.

The next event will be held this weekend at Sweet Cars on Jefferson Boulevard.

Other upcoming events include a fashion show at Artworks Galleria, a 4 course dinner and cocktails at Club Soda on May 4th, plus Cocktails for a Cure on May 9th.

There will also be an event at Skyzone on May 15th, and a final fundraiser on May 30th at Ceruti's Event Center.

Olivia Valencic-Miller, LLS Woman of the Year says, "I think that big or small, there's a way that you can contribute, whether it's jumping at Skyzone or going to the art studio.  We really try to tap into the resources in Fort Wayne and Fort Wayne offers so many different venues and people really reach out.  So community members can come in and spend money and the money then proceeds to go to finding a cure and so I think that's a great reason to give."
