Indiana Teachers Make the Grade

“Up until this point we've not had any data on how well our students do once they get in the classroom,” said Dr. Terri Swim, IPFW Educational Studies Chair. 

For the first time teachers in Indiana are receiving report cards. The Indiana department of education released the results Monday.

“I think the performance assessments have captured the quality of teaching that is going on in our public schools today,” said Dr. Swim.

Along with grading each teacher in almost every district, the numbers also show where local teachers received their degrees.
