Homicide Victim Remembered by Friends and Family

Tuesday evening more than a hundred of Antonio’s friends and family gathered in front of his shop for a candle light vigil a chance to say one last goodbye.
 “Why would you do something like that to a nice and wonderful guy.  Why would someone just come and do that?”

Rudy Marquez may never get his questions answered.  He says the death of his friend just doesn't add up.  Antonio Nino was gunned done by a robber at his Fort Wayne business--The Smoke House Tobacco Outlet on South Layette Street.

Tuesday evening more than a hundred of Antonio’s friends and family gathered in front of his shop for a candle light vigil a chance to say one last goodbye.

“What happened to Antonio was senseless,” said Friend Anthony Cronin. 

Surveillance video shows a man with a gun in hand wearing a two-tone black and grey jacket and a red hat with an emblem. Police say Antonio was shot and taken to the hospital where he later died.  Police need your help finding him. 

“If the guy is watching this, you didn’t have to take his life he would have given you the money,” said Cronin. 

Cronin spent the day remembering his friend by holding a sign that read “Honk if you will miss him.” 

“My way to let the community know that you can say goodbye just by honking and telling him you love him.  Antonio we love you I hope you are having a wonderful time up there you deserve it buddy,” said Cronin.
