A bar owner and several others were arrested after Fort Wayne Police say they received numerous complaints from concerned folks living in that area.

People WFFT's Audra Streetman spoke with say they've heard about shootings and gang activity at the bar.  In fact, Fort Wayne Police say they've received more than 100 service calls to the bar since 2013.

Stopping by Sports N Spirits, it was still open but police say 4 people, including the owner were arrested during a raid.

"The Fort Wayne Gang Unit and Indiana State Excise Police conducted a search warrant at the bar around 12:30 this morning."

The owner of the bar, Burke Baughman was arrested and charged with maintaining a common nuisance.

A bartender named Jennifer Smith was arrested on a warrant along with a person named Marcy Parker.

Another woman, April Bradford, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

A man who works nearby didn't want to show his face on camera but tells WFFT that he's heard of shootings and other violence at the bar in recent months.

"I've heard like you know shots and stuff.  It did get shot up one time and it was about 6 months ago and they did a drive-by and shot into the establishment itself and nobody died but like they were taken to the hospital.  We've had police come in here asking if we had any trouble with them that night."

The man tells WFFT that police do frequent patrols in the area.  He also said that the bar seems to have the most police activity on Monday nights.

Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code was also called to the bar to investigate electrical and structural code violations.  If they are not fixed, the bar could be shut down.
