The Fort Wayne Airport Authority is planning to build a new FBO, or Fixed Base Operator Facility, which will continue to provide fuel, maintenance, and pilot supplies to all aircrafts, commercial, and corporate.   Currently, these services are managed by Atlantic Aviation.

However, the 40 year lease with the company ends in 2016 and the Airport Authority is considering going solo to provide those services with airport funds.

Scott Hinderman says, "We do have time to figure out we're gonna provide those services.  We are not in a detrimental area of how to provide that or answer that so we are doing our very best to evaluate all the options."

Jonathan Jones says, "We, Atlantic Aviation would love to stay in Fort Wayne.  We like being here.  We like being a part of the community.  That's one of the reasons that we submitted a proposal to build the new facility."

The Airport Authority says since the contract is up in 2016, they don't yet have a deadline to make their decision.
