If you're registered to vote here in Allen County, some major changes are heading you way this election season with primaries just around the corner in May.

Election Board Members held a meeting to discuss the changes to the election process, like district assignment and polling locations.

The last election was held in 2012, but don't plan on heading to the same spot that you voted 2 years ago.  Almost half of the districts are going to vote at new locations.

"We've made a lot of changes to our voting locations themselves.  114 locations."

Beth Dlug, the Director of Elections says these new voting locations will affect a large chunk of registered voters, but should make for less wait times at the polls.

"Complete reorganization.  We tried to get precincts going to locations that are the closest to them rather than just a let's get somebody in here so they have a place to vote."

Due to voting location changes, a final list won't be released until March, but for right now, Dlug just wants people to be aware of the change.

"We want to make sure everyone knows that their location may change. With almost 50% of location changes, we know that's going to affect a lot of people."

Once the list is released, there will be many opportunities to get information about where you'll be voting but if you don't want to worry about what precinct you're in, you can be like one of the 20,000 people that voted in the last election, by going early.

"We always have early satellite voting at our location at the Circuit Court Clerk's Office so people come to our office and vote early."
