Cougars Softball Team Signs two Local Athletes to the squad. Mackenzie DiPrimio and Katy Guebard from Carroll signed their Official Letters of Intent Friday January 31, 2014 in The Hutzell Center at St. Francis Univeristy.

Mackenzie DiPrimio and Katy Guebard from Carroll signed their Official Letters of Intent Friday January 31, 2014 in The Hutzell Center at St. Francis Univeristy.

DiPrimio - a second baseman for The Chargers, is a two year starter.  In 2013 she batted .303, in 2014 she batted .361and is a .329 career hitter - in total, DiPrimio has 61 hits.  In addition to her stellar hitting, DiPrimio has stolen eight bases each season, and scored 23 runs in 2013.  USF Head Coach Ryan Bolyn considers her a versatile player that has the potential to see early action and bat at the top of the line-up.

Katy Guebard is a Pitcher for the Chargers who has struck out 290 batters in her career.  She also pitched a no-hitter in 2013 against Columbia City; striking out 9, and walking three.  Guebard was named to the News-Sentinel Prep All Sports All-Area Team.
