The jury got a better picture of what Bisard was doing in the moments before he slammed into three motorcyclists in Indianapolis.
The jury got a better picture of what Bisard was doing in the moments before he slammed into three motorcyclists in Indianapolis.

One of the motorcyclists was killed in the 2010 accident.

Throughout the trial, a parade of Indianapolis Metro Police Department officers have taken the stand.  Tuesday was no different, as the testimony focused on those officers who interacted with Bisard leading up to the 2010 crash killing Eric Wells and injuring 2 others.

One of those officers was Joseph Maxey who sent written messages from his squad car laptop to Bisards'.  Maxey testified that he knew Bisard was responding to an emergency when he sent the following messages.

Maxey: "Don't show up with ketchup and mustard all over your shirt."
Bisard - "Why?"
Maxey - "It's not tactical."
Bisard - "It smells good."
MAXEY: I dare you to show up with a big *** elephant ear.
