The Komets officially have two players signed on for next season, those two being forward Matt Firman and defense-man Matthew Gen-Yawn.

If General Manager Dave Franke has his way, the Komets will have a half dozen players signed in the very near future.

The club announced they've extended qualifying offers to six players.

Defense-man Daniel Maggio and Jeremy Gates.  Wings J.M. Rizk, Brandon Marino and Fort Wayne native Kayleigh Schrock as well as forward John Dunbar.

Now what all this means is that these guys need to accept the Komet's offer by August First, and if they don't the Komets can sign any or all of these guys to any deal the team see's fit or simply choose to let any of these six looks at other options.

The most likely scenario is they'll all sign and be skating over at the Coliseum next season unless of course a superior league like the AHL comes calling.
