All the action for the Caps started in the Bottom of the second when Fernando Perez hit a sacrifice to 1st allowing Franmil Reyes to Cross the Plate. Former Columbia City Head Coach Randy Hudgins has accepted the same Position at Bluffton Highschool. After spending five seasons with Columbia City, Coach Hudgins racked up a 28-27 record and says leaving the Program is bittersweet. He is excited to join his new team, but saddened about leaving his old one. Hudgins replaces Kasey Kolkman who left the Tigers program last season to spend more time with his family.

The Bears of St. Paul Middle School have finished their season a perfect 36-0, bringing in wins in numerous tournaments, winning a State Championship Title and earning themselves a National Crown along the way. Per sources, Tony Jasick is set to be introduced as the head basketball coach at Jacksonville University on Thursday afternoon.
The TinCaps got off to a rough start Sunday Afternoon, allowing The Loons to jump ahead 10 -0 after four innings. The home team stepped it up in the fifth inning, holding Great Lakes Scoreless, then adding four runs of their own. They scored another in the eight but it wasn't enough to catch The Loons. The IPFW Head Basketball Coach has been talking to The Jacksonville Dolphins, and another meeting is set to take place Monday. Jasick won the Hugh Durham Coach of the Year Award after leading the Mastodons to a record 25 win season, and raced up the first post season win in program history in the College Insider Tournament.

After The Banquet was postponed for a couple of months due to weather, the team was finally able to come together and accept their awards for their excellence on and off the field. Mad Ants Successful in Weekend Sweep over Armor. Springfield got off to an early lead, but it was all Mad Ants in the third quarter, the team outscored Springfield by 15 points. Ron Howard scored 11 of those points and had a total of 20 on the game, he is now the NBA D-Leagues All Time Scoring leader with 4,261 career points. Mad Ants victorious tonight 114-90.
NFL New Rule: No More Goal Post Dunks. Players will now be fined $15,000 and given a penalty if they dunk the ball.
Ball State Pro-Day welcomes 21 NFL Teams, all in house to take a look at players like Keith Wenning, Willie Snead and Jonathan Newsome. A couple of Local Athletes made the Trip from St. Francis - Cam Edwards and Kollin Carman. Hear from the guys and see how they did at Pro-Day.
Mad Ants breeze past Armor 115-104 to keep Best Record in the League. The Mad Ants (30-16) beat Springfield in the first game of a double header weekend. Tony Mitchell showed of his Alabama Slammer type play racking up team high 26 points, Jamaal Franklin added 24 and Sadiel Rojas chipped in a double double, 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ron Howard is now just 14 points away from becoming the NBA D-Leagues all time Scoring leader after scoring 16 points in the game.
Down in Muncie, Ball State held it's "Pro Day" with players from the Cardinal Football Program and a couple from St. Francis trying to impress scouts from around the league.
It's hard to believe that April 3rd over at Parkview Field will be a baseball game for the TinCaps home opener against Great Lakes.
