IPFW Student Athletes receive 93 Selections Commissioner's List Honors
The Head Honcho in Cardinal Country is getting recognized for all of his accomplishments on the Football Field. The Coach was named to Top 15 by Athlon on Tuesday. Lembo is the first Ball State head coach in the school's history to win 30 games in his first four seasons at the helm.
Indiana's 2015 Mr. Basketball, and Purdue Commit Caleb Swanigan is in Greece competing in the FIBA World Championships. Today Team USA sailed past Egypt 92-50 to remain undefeated in the tournament. The Komets will take the ice next season with a few new rules to abide by after the ECHL held its annual Governors Meeting and made some changes.
Vontae Davis, the Colts Corner-Back did something in his off time, that was very memorable to both him and his team. The CB flew to Puerto Rico and got married to his long time girlfriend in front of friends, family, teammates, and even Head Coach Chuck Pagano.
The Indiana Pacers have made it to Post Season play for four straight seasons, and showed up at the Eastern Conference finals in back to back years, so since the team missed the playoffs all together this year, their may be some major movement when free agency kicks off on Wednesday.

Former Mad Ants Head Coach Conner Henry was hired as an assistant coach for the Orlando Magic on Friday.
The Indiana Pacers used the No. 11 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft to select Texas center Myles Turner. Turner was the Big 12 freshman of the year last season after averaging 10.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.
Saint Francis hosted six high school football programs for a team camp on Thursday. The Homestead Spartans, Carroll Chargers, Snider Panthers, East Noble Knights, Bishop Dwenger Saints, and Hamilton Southeastern Royals were all in attendance. Former Ball State quarterback Keith Wenning signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on Wednesday. Wenning was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft. He spent last season on their practice squad before being released in May.
Snider quarterback Isaac Stiebeling committed to Eastern Michigan, while on a visit in Ypsilanti on Tuesday. He picked the Eagles over scholarship offers from fellow Mid-American Conference teams Ball State and Ohio. Check out the video to hear why he decided on EMU.
The Colts announced their 2015 training camp schedule at Anderson University. The camp will run from August 1-15 and will have eleven practices open to the public.
Caleb Swanigan scored ten of his 16 points in the fourth quarter to lift the U19 Team USA squad to a 90-82 win over Greece in a FIBA warm-up game.

Bishop Dwenger Head Football Coach Chris Svarczkopf will miss the 2015 season due to health issues. According to a statement released by the school, Coach Svarczkopf is battling lymphoma. Former Northrop Head Coach Ernie Bojrab was named the interim coach.

FORT WAYNE – Hundreds of children spent the day practicing what it takes to become quarterbacks of their own health at a free Change the Play camp at Wayne High School. The children joined Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and experts from Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, the partners behind the Change the Play program that was designed to teach kids ages 5-13 how to make good decisions when it comes to health, fitness and overall wellness.

Hall of Fame Coach Kevin Donley from The University of St. Francis held his 14th annual Kevin Donley Football Camp on Monday. The camp played host for fourth graders through eighth graders. The campers were taught the fundamentals of the game, shown game footage from The Cougars Season, and walked through the weight room to emphasize the importance of strength training. The Coach that led the Mad Ants to the best record in the league en route to the 2014 NBA D-League Championship Title and earned a 2014 Coach of the Year award along the way, Conner Henry, is leaving Fort Wayne. Coach Henry is returning home to California to take the Head Coaching position for the L.A. D-Fenders.

Six seniors on the Homestead Softball Team were faced with the possibility of not being able to go to the Schools graduation ceremony, after their team, won the Regional Title and earned themselves a spot at the Semi-State Semi Final Game. The ladies Assistant Coach Ann Mathias didn't like the sound of that, so she came up with a creative idea, that allowed the girls ti have their ceremony, and play in the State Tournament.
St. John Lutheran School Recognized as ‘Get Fit’ Winners FORT WAYNE, IN (June 2, 2015) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will recognize St. John Lutheran School of Kendallville, Indiana as the winner of the 2014-2015 Get Fit Challenge in a check presentation to the students and staff this Wednesday, June 3rd at 8:15 a.m. during a school wide presentation in the school’s gymnasium. St. John will receive a check for $1,000 from one of our Get Fit Sponsors, Indiana Donor Network, with the funds to go toward fitness supplies, athletic equipment or health education tools at the school.
