We show you how you can get in on the fun in our first 'Locally Made Monday' segment.
Today we're at Wine and Canvas- an interactive experience that just opened its doors in the Covington Plaza a few weeks ago.
"It's kind of a party atmosphere. We play some great music, and we have a lot of fun," says Deb Baxter.
That's fun with paint brushes, and wine glasses.
Wine and Canvas is among the first of its kind in northeast Indiana.
"We will walk you through a painting- a sixteen by twenty canvas, from black canvas to finished masterpiece, in about three hours," Baxter says.
Owners Deb and Jeff Baxter say yes, all this art you see on the walls- you can create, and they show you how.
There's children's 'Cookie and Canvas' sessions, and date night events.
Sessions start at $35.
"We have beer and wine available here in the studio. It's a lot of fun. The class takes about three hours and we'll walk you through it step-by-step," Baxter says.
The chain is actually based in Indianapolis, and can be found in twenty-five cities nationally.
The one here in Fort Wayne, opened earlier this month, and features classes taught by local artists, along with local wines.
They also host sessions at local restaurants and events.
The Baxters say a strong response inspired them to bring a location here.
"I think people are having a great time, and it's affordable, and it's a chance to get out with your friends and have fun," Baxter says.
