It's friday, and that means WFFT meteorologist Andrew Logsdon is back with another food challenge.

This week though, he's trying something different.

It's a pickled food challenge on this week's Weatherman Versus Food.

This week he’s taking a trip to the southside of Fort Wayne for some pickled goodness.

The Southtown Inn off Old Decatur Road has been pickling food for 44 years.
They've got cabbage, eggs, pickles and cucumber- and I'm going to eat it all.

"We're going to start you out with our cabbage, our pickled cabbage... A bowl of that, and I'm going to give you twelve nachos, with peppers and hot sauce... Then I'm going to give you a Macedonian Special, and then we're going to give you some picked eggs, two pickled eggs... And then I'm going to give you a bowl of cucumbers, and then I'll give you a Macedonian slaw dog,” says owner Bill Evans.

Yea, that's a lot of food.

Add in four of his coney dogs as well.

So let's do this.

Here comes the pickled cabbage, and this special sandwich made from Macedonian sausage.

They both go down quickly.

And now, I hope I don't get egg on my face.

They say these are super spicy.

And now those nachos.

Each chip is piled with toppings.

But I've got a lot of other food to eat.

"See? We share!"

And some surprise coney dogs!

"Four! Four coneys? Really?"

And then out come the cucumber and pickle.

I do my best- but it's time to wave the flag.

"Well, in the battle of Weatherman versus pickled food that the Southtown Inn, it appears food wins! But just the fact that we get to eat this stuff, we all win!"

You can find the Southtown Inn at-

We're going to start changing this up now.

Starting in a few months, we're going to have some of you take on these challenges.

If you'd like to see if you can beat Andrew from some of his prior challenges, send him an email.
