WFFT has been following the story of allegations that've 'rocked' an Ohio town.

As of Saturday morning- a memorial rock in front of Paudling Middle School is gone.

The rock honored former teacher Don Schnepp, who died in 2004.

Two weeks ago, Barry Vance spoke publicly for the first time, alleging Schnepp raped him as a student in 1981, and asked the Paulding school board to remove the rock.

Since then, at least one other victim has come forward.

The Paulding County Coroner's report showed Schnepp died by suicide.

After the missing rock was discovered early Saturday, Vance says Superintendent William Hanak called him and said the rock has been temporarily moved to a safe place pending the next school board meeting on May 20th.

Vance says while it's not a done deal- it's a start.

"It's good. It's nice, and I know I've had a few seniors that have said that they don't want to graduate from that school as long as that rock is sitting there in front of the school... The rock being removed is great. But what everybody needs to remember is I didn't make one request. I made three- one, that the rock no longer be on school property, two, that no future memorial be put in place in his honor on school property, and three, that policies be put in place that define what is expected between a teacher or coach and a student or athlete inside of or after school,” Vance says.

School officials were unavailable for comment today.

We will be following up on the story throughout the week.

We'll keep you updated to find out if the rock is gone for good.
