WFFT Local's Charnae Davenport was in Warsaw Wednesday speaking to neighbors of the man accused in Tuesday's deadly shooting at Purdue University.

Cody cousins is in custody for allegedly shooting 21-year old Andrew Bodlt Tuesday afternoon at the electrical engineering building on Purdue's campus. A candle light vigil was held in memory of Boldt just hours after his death.

Although police say Cousins was fully cooperative during his arrest, some might say he was an aggressive person, but after talking to residents in the Warsaw neighborhood where his parents live, i only heard good things about the family.

"We were very surprised that something like this you know, would touch our neighborhood. We've never had any problems here or anything of this nature. We're just very very sad about this."

Neighbors say that the Cousins have only lived in this Warsaw neighborhood for about two years. They say the mother works as a family therapist at the Bowen Center in Warsaw. Friends of Cody's have spoken out on Facebook. One friend who went to grade school with cousins says "I remember Cody as a good kid and an extremely nice and helpful person...because of that, I'm not passing judgement of him or how he was raised, bad things can happen and change good people."

Cousins is currently held without bond. His initial hearing is set for this Thursday in Tippecanoe County.
