The President of the NAACP, Reverend Sahara Bledsoe spoke in regards to the controversial collective bargaining debate here in Fort Wayne.   She says the local NAACP chapter supports collective bargaining and sides with the union workers.

WFFT's Isabella Moller met with Reverend Bledsoe to talk more about collective bargaining and Bledsoe says she feels that the entire city needs the opportunity to step out and show their support.  Which is why the NAACAP will held a collective bargaining rally at the Court House Green.

Reverend Bledsoe says she's been in contact with union officials everyday.  She says that if residents are really concerned about what's best for the city then they will all come together and do what's best.

When asked about the Mayor's decision to conduct an objective assignment, Reverend Bledsoe says she thinks it's a good idea.

"I think that more time is needed to hear from both sides and I think that we must be very mindful that anything that works to cause harm or endanger ones collective in their ability to seek equality and justice we must be concerned about."
