Monday we talked to the tearful parents of 14 year old Addie Elzey, and Tuesday their story has now turned to one of joy.

"Oh, I ran to the neighbor's houses and told them, and called everybody I could think of. Yah, it was pretty awesome."

Tricia and Matt Elzey are on their way to Georgia to pick up their 14 year old daughter Addie. According to a police report from the Cook County Sheriff's Department, the four teenagers were stopped at a rest stop when marijuana fell out of 18 year old Jeremiah King's pocket. The police handcuffed him, and King took off running. The three teenagers drove off in a red Taurus like this one, that police determined to be a stolen vehicle from Decatur. The three teens abandoned the Taurus, and after a foot pursuit involving a helicopter and two k-9 response teams, all four teens were found and in police custody.

Addie's parents say they are ready to have her home.  "We just want to get ahold of her, and hug her, and cry it out for a little while."

Right now, Tricia doesn't expect Addie to have any charges in Georgia.  "There's stuff we've gotta work on. And figure out what the, and if there is a reason behind it. What it was. and figure out what we can do to get it good again. I guess."

According to the police report, 18 year old Jeremiah King was taken into custody and booked in Cook County. the three minors were taken to the Family and Children's services department. Addie's parents are expecting to pick her up Tuesday evening, and head back to Indiana Wednesday.
