This week on Locally Made Monday, we're ready to have a party.
That's because on tonight's report we found a local party store who supplies more celebratory goods than anyone else in the world.
Shindigz is based in South Whitley, but their northeast Indiana made products reach over one hundred countries around the globe.
And they do all their sales through the internet and catalogs.
"What we do is we are basically the world's leader in party planning supplies, and we want to make life more fun for everyone,” says Shindigz CEO Matt Wojewuczki.
Wojewuczki became CEO of Shindigz three months ago.
The company started as Stumps Publishing nearly ninety years ago in South Whitley, printing materials for local schools.
But today- that has changed.
"Yea, right here in this building, we make, gosh, just over fifteen thousand items for parties. We have over thirty items that we sell. And we do personalize just about everything that we do,” Wojewuczki says.
The Moyle family bought Stumps twenty-three years ago, rebranded it as Shindigz, and expanded the printing into party supplies.
And today, it's the world leader.
"We personalize things like banners, anything for a party, birthday parties, weddings, school events, we do table ware, favors, kits... So we can make life a little more fun, we can make any party more fun, so that's what we try to do,” Wojewuczki says.
But it has no brick and mortar stores- all its sales are through the internet and catalogue- reaching over one hundred countries.
Most of the 150 full-time and 100 seasonal employees are involved in the company's local volunteering program.
And Shindigz sponsors several youth and college soccer events in the area.
Wojewuczki says they have even more coming down the road.
"Yea, we're growing, and we have every intent to continue to grow. We see a lot of opportunity. We actually have some new things in paper and plates, so we have new innovation, we have new designs,” Wojewuczki says.
