You might remember last month the Shadarobah Horse Rescue was evicted. More than 40 horses were either adopted or placed in temporary foster homes. Now the organization is trying to rebuild.

The Shadarobah Horse Rescue is trying to raise funds to rent or purchase a new location. The horses also need vaccinations and food. Friday afternoon the horse rescue held a fish fry fundraiser at the Churubusco American Legion.

Organizers say they are looking for monetary donations, volunteers for future events and they also need help with grant writing.

The horse rescue is holding a number of other events. The next is scheduled on May 3rd and 4th at the Pet Expo inside the Memorial Coliseum.

Shadarobah is also participating in the Great American Cleanup in Fort Wayne on May 17th.
