There have also been 18 counties that have tested positive for West Nile Viruses in mosquitoes and
"That mosquito gets virus from birds so the birds are always going to be carrying the virus around our area so there’s still a chance that someone in our area could be bitten by the infected mosquito," said Dave Fiess, Director of Vector Control in Fort Wayne.
Fiess reminds us to take precautionary measures with football season coming up. Remember to wear bug spray and keep covered up to prevent from getting bit.
