FWPD & Authorities Busy Investigating Drug Crimes

Fort Wayne Police and authorities in Northeast Indiana have been busy investigating drug crimes.  6 people were arrested and charged earlier this month after a cocaine bust and Fort Wayne Police arrested 5 people on drug-related charges.

February 12th, police arrested 6 people in Northeast Indiana on federal firearm and drug charges.

Loyd Thomas
Derrick Thomas
Dwaine Bartlett
Prentice Bland
Richard Council
Richard Murray
all remain in federal custody.

Each were charged with conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm related to a drug trafficking crime.

After a 6 month long investigation, FWPD arrested 5 people Friday, February 14th.  Officers served 3 search warrants at homes on the Northwest and Southwest side of town.

During the search, police say they found a stolen handgun and shotgun.

Stay Martin, Aaron Montgomery, and DaMarcus Thomas were each charged with dealing cocaine.

Jerry Thomas and Michael Williams were also arrested on several different charges.
