A one of a kind art and culture festival unlike any other in the region opened its doors in Fort Wayne

It's the second year for Fringe Fest, hosted by the Wunderkammer Art Gallery on Fairfield Avenue.

It featured a 5K race through the alleys of south central Fort Wayne and open mic night.

Monday is a volunteer set up day for the week and Tuesday is a National Vinyl Record Day fundraiser.

Organizer Dan Swartz says the events starting on Thursday have a little bit of everything.

"If you have an interest in theater already, come out to see Courtney Trish's one woman show. If you really like dance, then we have an event called Arial Evolution, which is like silk dancing, like in the air. It's kind of just a to see what's going on, and also to be a part of a community that forms,” Swartz says.
