Authorities Cracking Down on Sexual Activities at Parks

Authorities in Mercer County, Ohio are cracking down on sexual activity at local parks.

In a statement Thursday...Sheriff Jeff Grey says he is increasing patrols in a number of these parks. He says the Mercer County Sheriff's office is receiving complaints of sexual activity and drug use in public areas.

People come to the state park in Celina for a variety of reasons... whether its walking a dog or enjoying a day on the lake....but Sheriff Grey says that people who come for sex or drugs will face consequences.

In a statement...Sheriff Grey says, "We will not tolerate public sexual activity or soliciting in the parks. Those activities should be kept in the privacy of your home. Anyone caught engaged in sexual activity or soliciting in parks will be arrested and taken to jail. Sheriff Grey is encouraging the public to report suspicious activity to the sheriff's office or Celina Police Department. You can also do so anonymously on their website
