Parks and Recreation started the games in 1979 to promote active, healthy lifestyles in adults.
Seniors can play sports like croquet, cornhole, bowling, and golf. For the first time, seniors can compete in canoeing and kayaking.
"It's a lot of fun and what's it last year or the year before, I saw them play and I thought that's a good game, so I signed up for it. I love croquet. I've won every year and I think I've been doing this for about 5 years."
More than 300 participants are expected to participate this year. The games are open to any adult over the age of 50.
