Several police agencies served search warrants at 5171 W 300 S-1 in Bluffton. This is rural Adams County and the Adams County Sheriff Department is heading this investigation with help from Indiana State Police, Allen county sheriff Department, Fort Wayne police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

Zachary Fiechter is being held at the Adams County Law Enforcement Center. The first bits of information from the sheriff department were the potential bomb threat in rural Adams County, and now later in the day police are still investigating what Fiechter has been up to.

Late Friday morning the Adams County sheriff arrested Fiechter on preliminary charges for dangerous control of a firearm and a Class C Felony after a brief investigation.

With a lot of unanswered questions community members in this rural part of Bluffton are shocked that 5 police agencies are investigating this 18 year old in their town.

"I mean you gotta know the circumstances behind it. First off it's not impossible that it couldn’t happen, but in a community like ours, it is a little surprising,” said Todd Conrad.

It is unsure if Fiechter lives at this residence but owners of the property have been compliant with the investigation.
