"Tools for Schools" is a program by the Salvation Army that tries to provide school supplies for 1,000 kids each school year. Right now, Program Director Timothy Smith, says they only have enough supplies to help 900 families, and they would take anything from book bags, to notebooks, or even monetary donations.

"Our idea of doing this program, is we want to make sure when the child goes back to the classroom, they have all the tools to succeed and reach their potential. When they are worried about not having the supplies walking in, they are not going to be able to do that."

If you would like to drop off a donation, the deadline is Friday, August 18.
