"Using a vinyl window, in general, is a green and good for the environment, because you should never have to replace that window again."
Jason Jackson is the owner of Window World in Fort Wayne.
He says that purchasing windows should always be a one time purchase.
His company's vinyl windows have a lifetime warranty because Jackson claims they won't rot like wood windows.
"That's the biggest part of what we replace, is people's windows being rotted out."
With over 205 locations across the country, Window World takes extra steps to be environmentally conscious, especially when it comes to their carbon footprint.
"Even our plants, Window World, they strategically placed the plants to where it saves on gas to get your windows from where they're coming from."
What makes these windows so green?
"We call it Solar Zone."
The glass has argon gas inside. Argon gas is about ten times bigger than air so it fills the empty air chambers inside the window. The less empty air chambers, the more efficient your window.
"It really cuts down on your energy loss, or heat or cold coming in from the outside so it really saves ya a lot of money and cuts down on the utility cost."
During production and installation, Window World is always looking for ways to help the environment.
"Everything that we don't use is recycled. In our plant, in our manufacturing product process, everything is recycled that is not used by us."
The money that they get from recycling, gets donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
